Sheralyn’s early journey through economic development, destination, attractions and museums marketing, followed by a couple of years lecturing in Consumer Psychology, prepared the ground for setting up B&H with Deb some 20 years ago.
Working across strategic marketing, communications planning and consortia management, Sheralyn has also undertaken organisational development projects for clients. She has been freelance Marketing Director for the world-renowned Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival for 12 years.
With her children having flown the nest, Sheralyn has now turned her attention to her collection of ‘treasures’ that need renovating, recovering, repainting – or all three.
Deb’s ten years in retail, box office and marketing at the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television, now the National Media Museum, were followed by managing the launch of a new attraction – Tetley’s Brewery Wharf, in Leeds, in 1993.
After a short period of freelancing, the Bonner joined the Hindley and B&H was born in 1996.
Deb specialises in consortium management, advocacy work, business and partnership development, and she heads up the Leeds Hotels and Venues Association and Yorkshire’s Magnificent Attractions group.
On the home front, her conflict resolution skills are constantly tested by having a husband and one daughter who are Evertonians and another daughter who is totally committed to Liverpool FC.

Jane JacksonFinance Manager
Jane has a perfect combination of many years’ experience in hospitality AND expertise in all things finance – making her the perfect fit for her role as Finance Manager at B&H.
If keeping track of every client and every detail takes some doing, we’re even less sure of how she manages to juggle a professional career with her husband, 3 kids, and life as a master baker, upholsterer and part-time tap-dancer. But she does.
Laura BarrMarketing Account Manager
Laura’s degree in History of Art was followed by a role at the Leeds International Film Festival, from which she caught the marketing bug. Fast forward 9 years, several marketing roles for festivals plus an editorial role at the international arts magazine, Aesthetica, Laura then arrived at B&H.
She brings her marketing and PR skills and experience to a number of our arts and tourism projects as well as managing the Yorkshire’s Magnificent Attractions group. Laura is currently combining work with studying for an MA in Responsible Tourism Management.
Away from work, Laura has just taken on the rather large task of her first house renovation project.
Kathryn BonnerMarketing & PR Executive
James EaglesfieldDigital & PR Account Manager
James’ career path began with 10 years in theatre, mainly in press and marketing positions, before taking a slightly unconventional turn when he sought out new challenges and entered the cut-throat world of sales, including working in the fiercely competitive motor trade.
Wanting to return to the world of communications, James gained valuable new skills working for a website development company before joining B&H, where he now leads our social and digital media marketing across tourism, hospitality and arts projects.
Outside of work, James is a football fan, a league tennis player and a reasonable skier – and he continues to hone his skills with an annual trip to Finnish Lapland.
Jessie LeongMarketing & PR Executive
Jessie studied Photography at Leeds College of Art and Design before taking up a fast-moving role at Comic Relief, working on the Sport Relief campaign. Her wide experience encompasses social media strategy and management, data analytics, campaign planning and monitoring. At B&H, Jessie is focusing on tourism and hospitality clients, working across digital and social media marketing as well as PR.
With a passion for the great outdoors, Jessie spends as much time as possible climbing at the local crags and, whenever she can, heads off to conquer the heights in the mountains of Europe.
Sara MerrittAccount Manager
Sara studied English Literature at Leeds Met Uni and then gained experience with roles encompassing data analytics, website management, point of sale advertising and bespoke project management. Having joined B&H as a Senior Account Exec, Sara has since moved into an Account Manager role and is now focusing on the hospitality and corporate sectors.
Having put down roots in the countryside, Sara enjoys spending her weekends outdoors with friends, perusing the local bric-a-brac shops and eating al fresco (weather permitting!)
Abigail ProctorMarketing & PR Executive
Bonner & Hindley is seeking a Digital Marketing & PR Account Executive to join the team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with an award winning agency operating in the tourism, heritage and arts sectors.
Working across both B2B and B2C accounts, every day will be different and you will be offered a really supportive environment where you can progress and also enjoy a fun and sociable office.
The successful candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience in a marketing role and will possess proven digital marketing skills.
The job role encompasses a variety of tasks including, but not limited to the following:
- Efficient and effective design, production and management of internal and external marketing including; digital (email, web, and social media), campaigns (email/direct mail/SMS) and other visual/written materials
- To build SEO strategies and create campaigns that improve and increase organic reach for clients
- Monitoring, analysis and production of reports for clients
- Assisting in researching and writing press releases, editorial and features
- Liaising on a daily basis with clients, agencies and the media
The successful candidate will have:
- A proven track record of successful digital campaign management and/or delivery
Experience in SEO software and CMS systems
- Wide knowledge of social media platforms with the ability to create successful campaigns
- Evidence of creative and quality copywriting ability across digital and print platforms
- A creative and flexible approach
Salary: approx. £18,000 p/a dependent upon experience.
