Sheralyn Bonner – Director
After 24 years in the business, Sheralyn can’t quite remember how she got into this marketing game, but she vaguely recalls that it all started in economic development and zig-zagged through destination marketing, attractions and museums, with a few years lecturing in Consumer Psychology thrown in for good measure. Along the way she bumped into Deb at a travel-trade exhibition, blissfully unaware that 5 years later they’d set up B&H together and that another 16 years on they’d still be doing their stuff together. Sheralyn is responsible for strategic marketing, communications planning, public relations and key accounts including the National Coal Mining Museum for England, Great Inns of Britain and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. In between managing projects and clients, Sheralyn also managed to produce 2 children, both of whom are now bigger than her. More recently, she’s taken up upholstery – mainly because she can make the material do what she wants and chairs don’t answer back.

Deborah Hindley – Director
Always having to go one better than her partner in crime, Deb has 25 years experience in tourism marketing and communications, 10 of which were spent at the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television now the National Media Museum, in Bradford. Managing the launch of the £6 million Tetleys Brewery Wharf, Leeds, in 1993 was followed by a short period of freelancing, before Hindley became joined with Bonner. Deb is responsible for consortium management, business development, strategic marketing, partnership development and key accounts including the Leeds Hotels Association and Yorkshires Magnificent Attractions. Like Kofi Annan, she’s particularly adept at managing conflict, a skill that probably comes from having a husband (Paul) and daughter (Lucy) who are Evertonians and another daughter (Aimee) who supports Liverpool. When the football rivalry gets too much she escapes to her pad in Spain, which you can book if you fancy a getaway yourself.

Dan Jeffrey - Account Director
Dan is an honorary Yorkshireman, having left Somerset in 1992 to attend university in Hull. When he moved to Leeds to do an MA in English Literature he immediately fell in love with the city and a Yorkshire lass. Except for spells in Italy and Eastern Europe as an English teacher, he has been here ever since. He joined Bonner & Hindley in 2008, having previously spent 6 years as Editor of regional magazine publishers Leeds Guide. As a journalist he freelanced for a number of titles including Wallpaper* and The Observer, and at B&H he specialises in PR, web development and social media and heads up key accounts. In his free time he does dad stuff with his two children (one of each), obsesses about bicycles and … well, obsesses over bicyles a bit more.
Gini Wilde – Senior Account Manager
Gini studied International Tourism & Marketing Management at Leeds Met University. On graduating she joined the tourism team at Leeds City Council where she spent two years as Tourism Officer, and then moved Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham where she was Marketing Manager. She joined B&H in 2005, taking on particular responsibility for business tourism, marketing planning and campaign management. She is an expert in awards applications having won numerous titles for clients and is a very experienced and level-headed event manager. Gini is married and she and her husband share a passion for rugby league (he’s an ex professional player, which probably makes her a rugby WAG). Her other hobbies include shopping (lots of it), swimming, travelling and being with family and friends. She also does a lot of charity work for the Barry Wilde Trust Fund. Gini is currently on maternity leave with her first child Scarlett.

Victoria Sowerby – Senior Account Manager
Victoria is B&H’s longest-serving employee, having joined the company straight from university in 2004. She studied English Literature, Language & Creative Writing at Sheffield Hallam, and since graduating has built up a wealth of experience in public, not-for-profit and private sector PR. Heading up the business tourism PR for B&H Victoria is responsible for key accounts such as Welcome to Yorkshire, Leeds Metropolitan University and Hospitality Sheffield. She also has strong media contacts across local, regional and national consumer press as well as specialist and travel press. Outside the office Victoria likes to cook up culinary delights in the kitchen but her greatest passion is getting away from it all in the Yorkshire countryside, spending many a weekend away in the family holiday cottage with her husband Tom. Victoria is also currently on maternity leave with her first child Isaac. There must be something in the water.
Sally Ramsey – Projects Manager
Sally started out in performing arts and trained as a stage manager, however she then went on to ‘stage manage’ over 20 years experience in travel, tourism and the arts! Sally has worked for Thomson Holidays, Getaway Vacations and held the position as Marketing & Business Development Manager at Leeds Bradford Airport for over 10 years. Following a stint of freelance work which saw Sally return to her theatre roots, she joins us as Project Manager taking on a host of new challenges in the tourism and arts sector. Out of hours Sally loves all things chocolate and has a passion for theatre and taking flight to new and exotic places with her husband Wayne and son Elliot (although the flight itself is never normally a pleasure with a 5 year old!).
Alex Rogerson – Marketing Account Manager
Alex joined the team in May 2012 and having spent two years at Harewood House, she feels very much at home amongst our vast portfolio of leisure and tourism clients. She worked on a wide range of projects in her previous role – from branding and product design to marketing and PR – so it’s no surprise that Alex prides herself on being something of a chameleon. Take into consideration her experience in hospitality and event management and we’ve got ourselves a little one-stop-shop bursting with enthusiasm. She’ll design, cost and market your campaign, then use her bar management experience (we hadn’t mentioned that, had we?) to throw you one hell of a party to celebrate – frozen margaritas anyone?
Ben Connell – Marketing Executive
Ben is the youngest member of the team and a graduate of Northumbria University in Newcastle where he gained a degree in Business with Marketing. After graduating he worked in the French Alps with Mark Warner before returning to the UK to join B&H. As a Yorkshireman Ben knows the region well and prides himself on his knowledge of its broad acres. Ben primarily looks after marketing and advertising, and his key clients include Yorkshire’s Magnificent Attractions, Leeds Hotels & Venues Association and Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa. Ben has a passion for snowboarding and considers himself a bit of a pro, and he also is an avid fan of his beloved Manchester United (don’t hold that against him).
Jane Verity – PR Account Manager
Jane heads up a number of our PR accounts from B&H’s London office, putting her on the doorstep of most of the UK’s major media organisations. Well, not literally on the doorstep, unless she is feeling in particularly tenacious mood. She’s one of the most skilled PRs we’ve ever known, drawing upon her eight years experience both in-house and agency to tailor stories, collaborate with journalists and achieve great coverage for our clients. When not at work she runs a gymnastics club, goes to dance classes and sits in coffee shops sighing loudly, pretending to very slowly write her first novel.
Andrew Vaux – PR Associate
Andrew joined Bonner & Hindley in March 2013 as part-time PR Associate. A true Yorkshireman, having lived here all his life, he started out as a journalist but then became poacher turned gamekeeper when he crossed the line into PR. He has almost 20 years’ experience delivering PR strategies for clients regionally, nationally and internationally. In his spare time he can be found playing tennis, swimming, watching football and rugby or walking in the countryside with his family and pet dog Dorothy – as well as at the bar in his village pub!
Sarah Benson – Marketing & PR Assistant
Sarah was born and bred on a small farm in the Yorkshire Dales and has a passion for all things outdoorsy. After a brief stint as a West Yorkshire Police Special Constable, Sarah decided to jump back into education and is currently studying Business Management at Leeds Trinity University. She joined the team at B&H for 6 weeks as an intern and is now staying on part time while completing her degree. When she’s not working, she will usually be found taking her pooch Reg for long walks and enjoying a cold one in a few local pubs – well, what else are you meant to do in the Dales?
Lucy Dunn – Accountant
After graduating from Lancaster University in 1986, Lucy qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in Birmingham. After extensive audit experience she moved into industry, enjoying roles in the exhibition industry and retail. Now 100 miles further north and three kids later, when not in the office or on Mum duty she enjoys playing tennis and her flute (though not often at the same time).
Matt Zaremba – Administrative Assistant
Originally from Milton Keynes, Matthew left school at 16 wanting to pursue a career in catering – convinced that he would be the next Ainsley Harriot on Ready Steady Cook! His first job was at Woburn Safari Park in Bedfordshire where he started training to become a world famous chef. However, making friends with the head keeper of the rhino and giraffe section soon changed Matthew’s career plan. He went on to study a Diploma in the Management of Zoo and Aquarium Animals at Sparsholt College in Hampshire followed by a brief stint at the Cotswold Wildlife Park in Oxfordshire before moving to Yorkshire’s newest animal attraction, the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Matthew now combines his career with the animals in Doncaster with keeping the team at B&H on-track, managing all the administration for the office as well as being the first friendly voice our clients hear on the phone. Matthew also works closely on the marketing and PR for Yorkshire’s Magnificent Attractions as well as promotions for Northern Rail.![]()
Rory ffoulkes – Social Media Associate
Rory had a vague plan while at school to combine being a novelist with playing professional football for a provincial Serie A club; but when that was scuppered (don’t ask him – you’ll be there all day) he instead went on to become a journalist for five years after uni before taking the leap into PR. Rory handled some fairly major multi-platform campaigns before joining B&H, and now works for us part-time managing social media channels for key clients. In his spare time, he effortlessly balances (cough cough) his duties as husband and father with, depending which season we’re in, playing a risible standard of rugby and cricket.
