Yorkshire’s Magnificent Attractions’ biggest summer yet

Posted by on May 28, 2012 in Blog

With 22 members and summer quickly approaching (officially 20th June apparently) Yorkshire’s Magnificent Attractions (YMA) is preparing itself for its biggest and busiest summer yet. You’ll be able to find us across Yorkshire this summer at shows, in magazines and even in your living rooms.

Here at B&H we’ll be managing the group across a number of exhibitions throughout the summer.

If you’re heading to the Great Yorkshire Show or Driffield Show, be sure to keep an eye out for us. We’ll be the ones with the Vikings, Science experiments and even our very own Surf Simulator. As well as that we’ll be heading down to Meadowhall at the end of July for a very special three-day event, as we take over the shopping centre.

Here at HQ we’re also putting the finishing touches to YMA’s very own Summer Magazine and Voucher Book. Both of these will be distributed around Yorkshire and surrounding counties to Primary School children in time for the summer holidays – ensuring they get all the information and best deals on what promises to be a great summer of attractions fun.

On Monday 16th July the YMA summer TV campaign goes live – we have nine of our 22 attractions lined up for a heavyweight two-week campaign across ITV Yorkshire. Here are a few facts and figures for the Summer TV campaign:

  • It will reach 55% of all adults in Yorkshire
  • That’s potentially an audience of 5,000,000
  • Which includes 663,000 families
  • Who will see the campaign on average 3.6 times

With the recent Easter TV campaign (to see adverts visit www.yorkshireattractions.org) proving to be a big hit, we are hoping summer can deliver more of the same and continue to get the Yorkshire’s Magnificent Attractions brand out to the masses and help the group to continue to go from strength to strength.

Finally some very exciting news for all you tweeters out there … wait for it … Yorkshire’s Magnificent Attractions is now on TWITTER! Find us at @DayOutYorkshire! What’s that I hear? It’s about time? Well, yes you’re right – it is about time. So for all the latest news on all 22 attractions, ideas for some great days out and, dare I say, the odd joke, be sure to follow us @DayOutYorkshire.

Here’s hoping the sun stays out.
