Project: We provided full-service support for Scarborough Museums Trust (SMT), acting as their in-house marketing team. This included strategy management, planning and reporting, staff development, print and digital design support and full management of all marketing and communication channels. We managed PR (including crisis management), media buying, print and distribution and digital marketing: social media, website development and e-news communication on behalf of the client.
Strategy: We worked with Scarborough Museums Trust for three years supporting the management team in delivering the Trust’s recently published strategic aims. We worked with the team to build local, regional and specialist audiences and engagement across the Rotunda Museum, Scarborough Art Gallery and around the events programmes. This included a full marketing and PR audit, which resulted in commissioning new photography, and a full re-branding of the trust and developing a brand-new website.
Results: Our focus was upon was on delivering a consistent design and tone in keeping with the target market and USPs of the venues, reflecting a bold and engaging brand that was rolled out across all Museum communication strands, including education and exhibition. We developed strong relationships with local suppliers, advertisers and partners.
We delivered consistently high-quality messaging, especially focusing on PR and their digital marketing platforms such as social media, website content and e-newsletters. We saw a steady increase in engagement across the board and saw the growth of the Scarborough Museums Trust brand in the town and surrounding area.
