A recent addition to the B&H cannon, Underneath the Stars is a family-friendly Yorkshire music and arts festival help near Barnsley (2nd – 4th August 2019).
Objective: Directed by Emma Holling, sister of Folk singer, Kate Rusby and the Managing Director of Pure Records, B&H were brought in to focus on raising the profile of this hidden gem of the festival calendar and help to make it a sell-out success through PR, stakeholder relations and developing external communications.
Strategy: Much phone bashing, pitching and cajoling ensued with a comprehensive press list to target all the festival specials in major local, regional and national ‘What’s On’ features. We worked with local print titles and digital platforms to secure space for this family friendly festival and worked with local authority partners and charities to generate an all-round feel-good factor for the region.
Results: B&H also secured a number of key relationships and commercial partnerships all leading to increased audience development, particularly across digital platforms, a sell-out of the camping pitches in record time and festival tickets tickets selling like the proverbial ‘hot-cakes.’
